Area towns have experienced thefts from parked vehicles. Such items as computers, GPS, cell phones, and money are being taken from unlocked vehicles. Please remember to always lock your car doors, remove any valuables from the car, and keep exterior house lighting "on" at night. Most importantly, if you see a suspicious person or vehicle

Police Catch Shoplifters

In the beginning of March, the Allendale Police Department noticed a pattern of shopliftings taking place at a local supermarket. These thefts occurred late at night with alcohol being the targeted merchandise. Upon conferring with corporate loss prevention, it was determined that two individuals, identified as Michael Basile and Laura Probst were perpetrating the thefts.

Allendale Police Work to Catch Burglars

The Allendale Police Department is working with Northern Highlands on its mission to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse - in all its forms. At a recent ceremony, AAA North Jersey presented Allendale officials with an AAA Outstanding Achievement Award, which is presented to communities with exceptional traffic safety program activities. Allendale Police Bring Santa to Hillside School

On Dec. 23rd, Allendale Police brought Santa to visit the children at Hillside School.   Officers escorted Santa to the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes.  Santa even helped the children with their sing-along at the end of the school day!

PBA Donates Hams to Food Bank

On Friday Dec. 19th, members of the Allendale-Waldwick PBA purchased a truckload of hams valued at $1,000 and donated them to the Center for Food Action in Mahwah.
