Bear Cub Sightings

It's that time of year when bear cubs will again be passing through our area.  The Allendale Police will again be  monitoring the situation and encourage residents to continue reporting any sightings to the police by calling 201-825-1900. W. Crescent Ave Milling & Paving

2018 Internship Program

Diversion Burglaries

Allendale Police want to warn residents that area towns have been experiencing diversion burglaries. Diversion burglaries are when someone posing as a utility employee, municipal worker or handyman comes to the front door and talks to someone or asks them to take them to another part of the property while an accomplice enters and burglarizes

Child Seat Inspection Event

On Wednesday September 13 Allendale police will be at Crestwood Lake to inspect and help install child passenger safety seats.   Certified safety seat technicians will also be on hand to answer any questions and provide educational material. Burglar Arrested Exiting House

In the early morning hours of Sept. 15th, Allendale police captured a burglar as he was exiting a house on Allendale Avenue. Sgt. Safe Exchange Zone Created

Allendale Police have established a Safe Exchange Zone at police headquarters. This Safe Exchange Zone is in our parking lot, indicated by a sign, is well lit and is monitored by video. The purpose of this Safe Exchange Zone is to provide a safe area for residents to buy and sell items through internet transactions.

Crosswalk Updates

Allendale Police are working with the DPW to revamp the business district so the crosswalks and parking stalls are safer and comply with NJ law.   This has been a long process, which is nearing completion.  Once done, the area will be safer for both pedestrians and motorists.  We will also  have the proper authority to enforce violations along
